Life interrupting art: a hair yarn

I woke up Sunday morning with what can only be described as a debacle.

“But Camille,” says you, “that is your entire grouping of hair. Surely all your hair is not present?”

Me begs to differ.

Staring forlornly into the kitchen, where my art sits, unfinished

I realize..the day? It is shot.

I typically brush my hair as little as possible because it becomes frizzy. I prefer to wash and condition, then I develop a devil may care attitude, usually wearing it in the apparently fashionable (lucky for me) sloppy bun.

Free time is for art! Not hair!!

I work on it for 30 minutes, turning if into a smaller, albeit still lat

Then to several smaller tightly would knots.

I attempt to treat with conditioner, and when this fails I move on to Queen Helen’s cholesterol treatment.

Like a tiny, useless hat, it does nothing.

2 hours later

I just give up and start cutting. This leaves me with weird chunks of shorter and shorter hair.

Ew. My bathroom mirror was covered in slung about conditioner and cholesterol, sorry about that. I do clean my house. Sometimes.

I washed, blow dried, and straightened. Shane says it appears I have layered hair now, I think I look like I have extensions.

Apparently I should care. A lot.

Boar bristle brush brushing it 5-6 times daily, oiling it, like a freaking car, braiding it at night, is this worth it!?!?

So I now get to look like somebodys grandma, or a little house on the Prarie character at bedtime. Great.

I miss my short hair. It was soooo easy. Plus it was hot pink, so it always looked amazing. Regardless cause it was pink!

And who doesn’t love pink?
