Robert Doll..will it ever end?

I think Robert’s excessive tattoos are complete.  I had to take some more artistic licence with the back of his arms because I have no photos.  I hate to say I phoned it in, but I kind of did.

I know there are flowers and black lines and scaly shaded thingies, so that’s what I did.

Next, his face and hair.  The thing I want to do with these hipster dolls is keep them as simple as possible in the face, but making them recognizeable as the person they are.

And I thought, yay, all I need now is his outfit!

Then I remembered a simple detail, one that I needed to add as an accessory..but how to attach/detach?

Velcro wouldn’t work as it would show.  I didn’t want to sew it in, as Robert doesn’t always have this item, only sometimes.

I have an idea, but I have to see if it works.  Unfortunately, this idea will involve me opening up the back of the head and pulling the stuffing out, attaching the apparatus, re-stuffing the head and sewing it back up.

Le Sigh.

I hope it works.  I really, really hope it works.  I want very much to finish this tonight.
