Why?

In a shameless ploy for free awesome reading material, I will answer a question by the great writer, Christian Mihai

Why am I an ‘artist’?

As much as I’d love to get all deep and psychological, I won’t. Reading that junk makes me barf.  And I honestly couldn’t be that serious if my life depended on it.  I’d burst out laughing, then be shot, or stabbed, or whatever.

The only time I remember actually saying I wanted to be an artist was in kindergarten.  I drew a stick person in a beret, with easels scattered around.  I must have seen something on tv, because the paper said I wanted to be a starving artist.

Did I mention at this point in my artistic career I only drew cat noses on people?  I found human noses ugly, so everyone had a triangle in the center face.

So, to sum it up, I’m an artist because I hate noses, love berets, and like being poor.
