I made this for my good friend Janet’s birthday.  She likes French country decor, and I googled French country art, because I’m not that sophisticated, and found stuff very similar to this.

The bluebird drawing was cut out from a 1936 Funk & Wagnal (sic?) Encyclopedia, colored with pencils, and modpodged to an old book page that just happened to have her birthday in it.  The fram is one of my antique ones that I had spray painted to use at my friend Dee’s wedding, but I ended up needing a much larger frame.

I hope she likes it.  It’s intimidating to make specific gifts.
